We looked at our 11 bare acres of degraded land with a vision of inviting in life. For 8 years we have created the conditions for biodiversity to flourish, planting over a thousand different types of plants and trees. We already had horses, dogs and cats, but the next leap was supporting Julie’s passion for knitting by adding a small flock of sheep and goats. These small ruminant animals not only provide gorgeous fiber, but do their part on the landscape.

Bringing these animals into our world has taken our commitment to live in ways that support our environment to the next level. Wearing clothes that are created by hand brings a deep sense of connection to the land and to history.
